ok, is it almost always a good idea to get down to as lean as you can? I mean, it seems possible that one weight division might have less interest and you might wind up just getting tougher fights by dropping some weight
on the other hand, as you get to lower weight classes chances are your height will be more bennificial to you and you do want Agility anyway

I actually prefer to be overweight as opposed to underweight.
Reason being is:
When you're overweight: You take a fatigue penalty per round depending on how overweight you are. Obviously, this isn't a good thing -- but not terminal to the fighter.
When you're underweight: The opponent gets a STR advantage, depending on how much of a weight advantage he has on you. Not such a big deal. The problem lies in the fact that your fight will show your exact fighting weight at the top where it announces you. This will cut down the opponent's scouting time immensely, and allow him to get a much more accurate scout on you -- which can be very dangerous against good opponents.

I prefer, if I must, to fight underweight as well. It is a frequent problem for me as I carry so much Agility on my fighters. Fighting underweight, as long as it is only a few pounds, does not seem to pose too much of a problem, or at least it hasn't for me.

what Im' saying tho is like if you can move down a weight class by improving Agility or whatever should you do it my thinking is against someonein a lower weight class, they may be there in part because of a good Agility so I might be better off staying at the hevaier weight

What I would do is scout my possible opponents then see which one would be easier to beat. Not necessarily the big named managers are the toughest ones to beat, it depends on what your fighter is built for facing. Always face the easier matchups if it means staying underweight, then so be it, or if it means dropping or going up to the higher weight class then do that.

my thinking is against someonein a lower weight class, they may be there in part because of a good Agility so I might be better off staying at the hevaier weight Not entirely true -- the biggest thing that changes from straws to heavies is height. The more points you spend in height, the heavier the fighter is, and the less AP's you have to distribute to all of the other stats. Whereas a 7'1" Heavyweight has 25 points spent in height -- a 4'10" straw actually _gains_ 2 extra points to place in other areas. Due to this, dropping a weight will rarely do anything more than make you one of the taller fighters of your build type. Sometimes that means the build is inefficient, and sometimes it's just the right thing to do. It's not necessarily bad or good, but if you're one to plan ahead what you want the build to look like -- you'll usually not change weight divisions too much unless you have to.

Throw a PM at me with the type of builds you like to use, and I'd be glad to lend a hand.

I bounce around honestly I have CounterPunchers, Dancers, I started in Flashers and have one of them I'm pretty successful with and a second that is looking good I've got Balanced to
I havn't bumped into a real tall fighter type in awhile so maybe I been getting lucky

I keep telling you that you need to concentrate on one or two types of fighters exclusively until you learn how to manage them.
Flashers do not teach you how to fight plan because they are basically one dimensional. Try making just KP Dancers and Counter Punchers. I made almost exclusively Ropists and now I am playing with KP Counterpunchers.

I would get bored with just one or two fighter types but really I havn't exactly gone insane with fighter types it's not like I have one of everything

One way works for some, and the other, for some. Both have their benefits.
On one side, you'll learn the ins and outs of particular fighters -- perhaps struggling with individual matchups.
On the other, you might struggle with more matchups, but you'll have a more rounded sense of what to expect from various opponents in each matchup.
Neither is right or wrong -- I've never been able to limit myself to a single build style, either... though I'd be much better for it.

Thee isnt many fighter types i have not tried, Flasher is the one type i cant really get on with. I have all sorts of styles that im running at the moment, from sissies to KP fighters. I am having some fun with some Freak Clinchers at the moment too they are pure evil. I have also started using some Ropist and Agile Sluggers (as Evolve just found out recently in a clan battle) I think it has helped me alot using different styles of fighters but it may not be to everyones liking. Its just what works best for you.

Bah, d**n you and that clan battle, heh.
That was my first clan battle and going into it I decided I would make a different type of fighter, everyone knows I make Ropists and as we have faced each other a few times in Rookies I decided I would go with Agile Sluggers.
In retrospect I should have stayed with Ropists or perhaps Counter Punchers, they are my new toy.

I changed my fighters too as i normally use tall fighters and i thought you would make fighters to combat against them. It was also my first clan battle.
I have not tried Counter Punchers yet. Maybe try them some time soon.
I see you got off to a winning start in Rookie Tourney, Well Done and Good Luck for the rest of the Tourney.

I see we both got matched up with fellow clan members in Round Two. You did a good job in the clan battle, caught me completely off guard and swept me 7-0, good job.

Yeah i was very suprised about the 7-0. It was all about gaining experience and learning more about the game for me

Well, I wasn't surprised that you won the match-up, seven nothing caught me off guard though. But our rookie fights were swayed in your favor 5-2 so you winning was not a shocker. We don't fight in the same division though so the only time we'll run into one another is if we meet in the Rookie tournament or in contenders. I don't think you compete in many of the specialty regions do you? Bare Knuckles or Amatuer? That is where I am concentrating mostly now, amatuer.
