ok, why is it (and I can't be the only one that has noticed this) that for the most part, everything before like the top 10 or 20 or so is like, a joke and then when you get up there people are like, really good shouldn't it be more of a graduation?

I have noticed that as well. I think it could be because alot of people come and go quickly without really learning the game whereas the top gyms have been around for awhile. I went through the same problem, I could not beat the top gyms. Eventually you get over that hump, most of my fighters are in the top 10 and I am preparing for my 2nd and 3rd title shot.

I have noticed this too, Evolve is correct as two of my mates joined after hearing me talking about how good WEBL was and they created a few fighters with pre-made plans and only logged on a few times and have not been back, their fighters are still fighting and have poor records. Having said that my first 2 title wins were against inactive managers and i have successfully defended the titles using the same fight plans.

I think it's merely a matter of "stopping".
Most of the top gyms will fasttrack their way through to the top, whereas a lot of newer gyms get caught up, and literally have to work their way up.
It might not seem like much, but when you lose winstreak and have to move from 4(5) to 5(5) to 6(6) before you start fast-tracking again, that's a helluva slowdown.
That might be part of the perception as to why it is that way.
Top players have often also been around a while, so probably have a few fighters in their retireds. Often they'll unretire some just to make a rush on Contenders, hoping for a shiny gold star.

Quay isn't it about time for you to get those ten titles and move onto Central?
You know, the region where I will not have to face your fighters......
Chuckle.

Quay is a Central gym? Interesting, I'll look forward to a few matchups with him

I believe he is Central.
Sardonic, EE got in two clan battles, one with The Brotherhood and the other with Judgment Inc, somehow in the Judgment Inc battle I got matched up with The Wrinkled Bag, who has somewhere in the order of 30 Canadian Titles. You know anything about him?

I am a UK gym.
Evolve, i should go over 10 titles this week as i have 5 title fights. I have been gradually retiring my rookies and creating fighters in the UK and Unsanctioned divisions so perhaps come up against yourself and Sardonic in Unsanctioned.
Or even in the clan battle

You went from your first title to your 10th quickly. I just got my first title fight last week and it ended up a draw. I have one or two fighters in Unsanctioned but have been mainly concentrating on Amatuer, my Ropists seem to do rather well there.
And I think Offords drew you for the clan battle, although we may get a match-up in the Rookie Tournament.

Yeah, i have 5 title holders with 4 of them defending and 1 fighter challenging this week so should get over the ten mark and then totally concentrate on the UK and Unsanctioned.
I ended up planing routes for my fighters using different weight divisions to climb up the ranks because if you stay at one weight there will be a few weeks you wont get fights as there are gaps in status.
I am sure you will soon get your 10 Rookie titles too as i think you have improved greatly since our first match ups. Everytime i see i have a fight against your fighters i know i will have a tough fight.

The Wrinkled Bag, who has somewhere in the order of 30 Canadian Titles. You know anything about him? Yeah, he's a good guy. He struggles with the endurance game, and almost all of those titles were from the use of sissies. On occassion, he likes putting KP on them -- but he can mix it up. He's a good slapper manager, and will only get better as he starts to understand the endurance game. He'll present a very tough matchup for one of your ropists, you may be better off with a slugger type for this matchup. Of course, he could always switch things up, and go for a completely different build -- thus is the nature of clan battles Good luck, man!

Bah, sissies. I hate sissies. I always have the worst time with them and that will indeed present a bad match-up. I can sometimes outslap them, which is not always a safe thing to do because I do not typically carry the same level of conditioning that they do.
Quay, I had to move a few of my fighters around as well to get fights.
I still have a losing record against you, but I agree the later match-ups were more competitive than our earlier ones.

I don't think The Wrinkled Bag made a sissy for the clan fight. We are in Light Heavyweight and his fighter is only 5'8" and weighs in at 175. My guy is 6'3" and weighs 176. I assume he made some sort of slugger, strength and agility probably somewhat even and using the height to make it into the weight division.

I have a lot of trouble with extreamly tall opponents

That's because you make a lot of counter punchers. Have you tried using feint against taller opponents, providing you have the speed advantage.

or (inside)?
If fighter has 3 STR, you're probably going to end up taking more damage from fatigue than anything else. This will open you up to using lines like 9/9/2 (inside) or 15/1/4 (feint) -- because you don't have to worry about taking the KO or being worn down. The more damage you do, the better.

15/1/4? That is like an uber sissy line. I use lines like that in Amatuer.
