Read that thread title again.........
When you have a 0-0-0 fighter matched up against another 0-0-0 fighter how do you fight plan? I throw in a beginning plan and hope I do not draw a bad match-up.
How do you handle new fighters in their first fight?

There's really only two things you can count on with this type of scouting. 1) Height: Height will tell you a lot. As (I think) we've already discussed, the taller a fighter is -- the less STR he has. Often, by gauging height, you can know if you're taking on a Sissy, or Dancer/Counterpuncher, Agile Slugger/Balanced/Ropist/Slugger, or Clincher. 2) Manager Tendencies: Most managers tend to lean towards a particular type, between endurance manager, slapping managers, and KP managers. If you find that the manager likes a lot of KP in his other fighters, you'll probably want to start conservative -- especially if it's a shorter fighter (flasher). You'll want stun lines, and the like. Most slapping managers will have tall fighters, so I would usually use a plan that goes hard to the body to slow them down. Keep an eye on KP in these matchups, especially as starting chin on most non-KP builds can be pretty low. Against endurance type managers, put in the proper endurance type of plan for an estimated matchup. I usually prefer to test a plan against both a balanced and agile slugger type of plan, and hope for the best. If you can beat those two types, you've got a good chance against the others. You can narrow this down by scouting the gym, often times people will stick to a few particular builds -- just as you consider yourself a "Ropist Manager". If this is the case, I'd merely put in a "my guy vs ropist" plan, as it is almost assuredly what I'd be facing. Hope that helps

It does.
I tried to construct a plan to handle all possibilites, then I realized that it was a lot of possibilities.
Yeah, most gyms do stick to a particular fighter. I try to fight my Ropists a little different though to avoid being so cliche'. Sometimes I slap, sometimes I go hard body and look for the late KO....
I've been thinking about branching out, I tried, am trying, Agile Sluggers but I really do not care for Sluggers or Clinchers. Sissies bore me, I could basically auto pilot a sissy, at least for a little while in Rookies.
Counter Punchers look interesting, maybe a high speed KP Dancer....
Or something off the wall like a Freak Clincher with massive strength.....
Or I could just stick to Ropists until I actually figure out what in the hell I am doing.

Maybe I just do not know how to fight plan for sissies, they seem one dimensional though, but even being one dimensional I have a difficult time beating a good sissy manager.

What Zam said about weight is on the mark.
I always look at the rumored weight. Take that and the Height of the fighter, along with his tendendies. I usually can get an idea of what the fighter I am facing should look like.
rumored weight = max weight
