I am considering running a Rookie tournament, double elimination if the private region will give me that opportunity. I'll advertise on the Rookie forum and see what interest I can drum up. We would probably need at least eight people to run it. I'll make a fighter certainly, how about everyone else?

There's usually a newbie tournament run by Small, that's more of an "Official" Unofficial Newbie tournament. It can't be too far off...
Good luck if you should choose to do it... if you waited until after the Jr Olympics, I'd be glad to run it for you.
But at that time, Small Gym's might be coming out. I'll contact him to see if he has any idea when the next one will be.

I spoke to Small's, and he said he wasn't aware that there was interest in it. He's going to announce immediately that he'll run one in the tournament forums. He really is a good guy I'll be keeping an eye on it, and as always, you guys know where to find me if you need a bit of advice. I highly recommend joining the tournament, whether or not you think you'll be competitive. It's an EXCELLENT learning experience. Hop in the tournament forums and sign up, he's an experience tournament manager who keeps things very entertaining. Good luck all!

Oh, I am certainly in. I have spoken to Smalls a few times about joining the Brotherhood, I have also spoken to someone at Evil Empire. I'll look and see if he has posted something about it because I would love to get in that.

Must have slipped Small's mind I've posted up a "gauge of interest" thread -- reply in there, and if it fills up enough, it'll be going in no time.

Those who haven't -- join!
There's no reason not to -- it won't tarnish your record, as it's in a private region. It's a good chance to face competition from around the world. There are often numerous experienced managers keeping an eye on things, and lending help and other such advice throughout.
It's a great learning experience, and hell -- maybe you'll win!
I was out very early in mine... but I understood what I did wrong, and it helped me immensely in regional competition.

I've already expressed my interest on the forums to participate, and I'm pretty excited with it being my first tournament. =)

Then you will have to make a new Gym just for the private region. I would actually like to see Laziness in it, I have never faced one of your fighters......

I'll be in it, and I don't think I've faced you either... another gym I was eager to face was Gym Quay.
We'll face each other sooner or later. =)

I have not had much luck against Gym Quay although we have only fought twice. I have quite a few fighters in the Top 10 so I am getting more match-ups with some of the Top Gyms. I had a few match-ups with Warlordz, although he has changed his name, and I've been in with Afrika Korps Dancers / Clinchers, he seems to make both.

Looks as though I've faced Quay several times, with a record 2-2-2 between us.
We've tied twice since he's used several counter-punchers on me, but I fixed my FP up and won by decision about a week ago.

Well, Round One was completed last night, I fought to a draw but under the rules whoever was dealt the most damage gets the loss and as my ropist only took 7 IP's and the other guy had a serious cut I am sure he took more damage from the fight.
