Finally got my Unsanctioned title win in Welter Weight. The way i saw it was their was only 2 ways to win this fight. 1) Disqualification - (not really going to happen due to he never cheats) 2) Win due to a cut stoppage - (I went for this option and won after round 9) The Doctor won't let Dead Man Biding Time 6 continue the fight because of a broken nose! Matt Loves Marmite wins by a TKO!

Good shot man, I hear unsanctioned is difficult to win in. You are pulling ahead as the best rookie to come out. I look at all of us as sort of the same graduating class if you will. You, Pride, Offords, Me, we all competed together and against one another.

It is pretty neat. I really enjoy seeing you guys succeed and win titles. I'm looking forward to it as we move out of rookies and into regionals.

Grats Quay, I'm sure your regional title will soon follow... and I look foward to facing you someday in Contenders.

Thanks Guys, yes there is a lot of top managers in Unsanctioned but i am finding the UK region slightly tougher although i have some fighters getting pretty high now.
I started with head hunting 4H/8/8 (inside) for 2 rounds because in the sim this opened up a cut.
Then from round 3 I targetted the cut by using lines such as 4C/8/8 (inside) and 5C/10/5 (inside), I even went as high as 6C/11/3 (inside).
You can also use lines such as: If hiscuts > 2 then 5C/8/7 (inside) or If hiscuts > 3 then 5C/10/5 (inside).

I started with head hunting 4H/8/8 (inside) for 2 rounds because in the sim this opened up a cut. Be careful with this, pertaining to cuts... glad it worked out this time, but cuts are very random. All that we really know is that they're based on base damage -- and are otherwise unpredictable. The sim isn't an accurate measure of this, though. If you change the 'random number seed' and sim the exact same fight plans and fighters with 'no luck' turned on -- eventually, you'll get cuts with one of the seed numbers. It's often good to place a block of 'cut lines' in a plan, but make sure to have a solid backup if the cuts don't work. ShinRa once attempted to put together a fighter designed to win on cuts, and though it was effective -- it wasn't predictable. It was essentially a clincher with 3-4 KP (depending on status) -- and it was recommended to run it as a clincher into contenders, where people will have had enough fights to make cuts more likely. I've got the article saved if anyone would care to see it, just throw me a PM.

I was always told nopt to target cuts either unless they already had a few, I was told it wasn't effecient. I would like to see the article you mentioned though......

I believe I stopped someone on cuts once it was shortly after I had been stopped on cuts : o (

I agree totally Sardonic. I only targetted cuts because their was no other way i could win and i beat him every time on the sim using cuts. That is the first time i have ever used cuts but i will only ever use it as a last resort.
