Perhaps it would be beneficial to post the link to these boards on the rookie press releases? Perhaps another post in the forums? If the same 3 people keep coming here, it's gonna get dormant quickly... promote it as best you can

I did not think of linking it in press, I emailed everyone and their mother but I'll certainly take your suggestion.

do you guys use press releases and actually get "in character" with your fighters? cus if so we could have an IC forum where we posted at each other in character that would probubly be fun as long as no one took it too seriously I've been considering using Press Releases and things to flesh out backrounds for my Fighters for example one of them is a Hip/Hop Arits and or Raper I was thinking of having another one be a MMA type guy that just couldn't cope with the grappling aspect and/or decided the bigger paydays of Boxing were insentive enough to leave that in the past things like that to make the guys more real

There has been a good deal of talk on forums of how press isn't used that much anymore. But I could not tell you how it was once used, I have never used it myself.

Evolve,
How about a clan page where you could list active clans and those who recruit active rookies. Just a thought.

I'd put just about anything on here if it would increase the participation, unfortunately the forum has been slowing to a crawl lately.
We would need more visitors for a clan to consider advertising on here but I'll put one up....

Dont worry to much about how many people are coming in as of late the boards around WeBL have their highs and lows. Keep with it and when newer players come to the game it will all pick up again.
Try getting a list of generic Questions together and see if you could do a manager spotlite here having rookie managers answering questions for others to read and get to know then this might help bring in some new viewers also.

The manager spotlight is a good idea, what sort of questions would we post in a generic manager spotlight though? I would like to get the rookie gyms that have recently been retired due to success, like Gym Quay. If we can compile a list of questions I'll give that a shot.

We could use a generic question and answer for Rookie managers. I think the manager spotlight is a great idea.
By the way Sardonic, I picked up my first rookie title this evening.

The graduated region is the best when it comes to getting in character and role play. The press is active and quite entertaining. For example I have a bit of a rivalry with another gym (all in fun of course) so I purposely looked for one of his fighters in the discards (a fighter that I know I can be successful with of course). I then staged a press conference where that fighter pretty much thanked my gym for giving him another chance and started taking cheap shots at his former gym (my rival). It was very amusing.

I'll have to look at the Graduated Press. I had a hard time competing in that region but it is something I would like to try again.
I never use Press though.....

I will probubly put someone in Graduated for Graduated is it (I assume it would be) good to go a little lower on Conditioning since you have time to train it up

I couldn't even begin to tell you how to train for graduated.

I've dipped a bit into graduated too, no idea on training specifically... but to my knowledge dancers and low STR fighters seem to dominate in early fights, with only four rounds in these first status fights... I feel 9 conditioning is great to start with, even though that number may still be a bit higher

I imagine during the first four rounds I could use a similar plan to what I use in Amatuer for my Ropists. But the build has to be different, especially on conditioning, meaning you could sink many more points into other attributes and train conditioning. However the most you will get is maybe two or three fights that are four rounds because the fight length is determined by the combined status of the two fighters. Also I believe they still have fifteen round fights at high status.
Hey Quay, we are thinking about doing a Q&A with managers who were successful in rookies, once we determine what questions will constitute the Q & A I was going to ask you to be one of the participants.

With the few fights I've done in Graduated, I don't think you should still skip alot of points into conditioning. 9, or maybe as low as 8 is probably best since you end up fighting longer fights at higher status. This could probably allow you to train more points into attributes and skip conditioning for your first several fights, which usually seem to be the easy ones. (I never said it was 100% though) =)
