Welcome! This is a brand new forum so hopefully it will get off the ground, I frequent the USA South forum and they have an extremely helpful Q&A section, and hopefully we get some of the more experienced gyms to help out in our Q&A section as well. Please register your account under your Gym name so everyone knows who you are.
Except for Shizz'z Dizzle, who always seems to beat me no matter what FP I use, he can't register.
Chuckle, kidding.
At least I am kidding about him not registering, he does always seem to beat me though.

Nice work, Evolve. I appreciate taking time to set this up. Hopefully, this will become the one stop shop for new managers.

One can hope, I have emailed as many new managers as I could that listed their email address in their gym page. Given some time and activity I am sure it will pick up.

i just started and read your post in the press releases, thought this might be a good place to start learing some stuff.
i think i have a some fights starting next week. I have read most of the help pages, but am still haveing a hard time understanding most of this.
i made some random fighters in the rookie region and picked up some discards in the eko region. I made some fighters from the scand fight club too

Discards may be a rough place to start with a fighter as many of those fighters have higher status / rankings, which means you will start out facing better managers, or the fighters were built too poorly to be effective.
Taking the pre-generated from scand is a good starting point and the good thing about the Rookies division is that most everyone there is new.
I'll help in whatever way I can, which type of fighters did you pre-generate from Scand? I think they have, what, KP Dancers, Counter Punchers, Agile Sluggers, and something else.
If you want some idea of how the game is played go into Practice Fights, select the option that reads match two fighters from your own gym. Throw two fighters together and let them spar. When you use that sim though you can only use the fight plans you already have saved so you cannot make changes between fights to see how the different numbers, i.e. 4/8/8 or 3/9/8 make a difference.
If all of that is confusing don't worry. If you read the help files that was a good start, read all of those. Other than that, tell me what other parts of the game are giving you trouble and I'll talk you through everything. This is still a new forum and we are working on building it up but there are some good people on here who will give you excellent advice.

there are some people here that will give you excellent advice but if they are all busy you can ask me and I'll give you some mediocre advice

Thanks for the advise. I have retired the discards that have not been scheduled to fight. Good thing, because i found some more adivse in one of the help files about the special regions. now i know why they were discards. the fighters i generated from scand fighter were sissies. i also generated myself some other fighters from info posted by peekaboo in one of the help files. I keep reading the help files over and over again and i keep finding out more and more. The most confusing part is the fight plan. i guess it is like writing a program for your fighter to follow. the last true statement is used. not sure if i read that here or another help page. its all getting blurry now thanks again evolve3 readytobang, i will take any advise i can get LOL

Learning the fight plan and learning the fight plan is two different things. Learning how to write a fight plan is not terribly difficult, learning how to write an effective one is another story altogether.
Sissies is where I started but I moved quickly away from them. Make sure you compete in the Rookie Region aside from occasional dalliances into Regionals. When you get a fight announced let me know and I will help you scout out your opponent to give you an idea of how to scout.

Welcome, wolf. Glad to have you on board. As with everybody else, I'd be glad to help you out if you need it. There are some good help sites available, I think Jim Sardonic posted a link to several of them on this forum somewhere.
As far as fight plans, it does take time to figure out what your doing. THe way I've learned is by making up simple plans to run in practice. Then I can see how conditionals are affected and I can change a few things to see how it changes.
Good luck and feel free to ask questions, especially after some of your guys have their first fights.

Welcome to all of you who are just joining!
Feel free to ask any questions you have -- I try to check at least once a day, personally, and I know there are other (more experienced) managers who check often as well.
If there should be any question you have that you don't want public, feel free to PM.
Good luck! The game is a bit tough to learn, but is a blast when you've got the hang of it.

I think I may start a Sissy thread in the Question and Answer thread as Wolfs Corner is new and trying to make sissies.

Clinchers are not really my thing however I had moderate success running Freak Clinchers in USA South. I found that my chin was too low, try different chin builds in the sim and adjust your aggression and power based on your opponents endurance. I mean, there are not many variations of builds for a clincher, so you really have to work on the fight plan.

coachzoop, nice to see you here ;D i'll try to re-activate and advertise this "Ghost Town" in the near future when i finish to do some changes here huh what's your gym by the way ? i added some useful links section: rookiesforum.proboards50.com/index.cgi?board=linkshere you have sth about Clinchers: www.geocities.com/skippy280/newclinchlvl1.htmlwww.geocities.com/skippy280/undex.html==== i think i run only one Clincher and crashed with him in my WeBL career so i'm with Evolve here...but Freak Clinchers so Clinchers with very low Agility like 1 or 2 and a lot of STR etc. seems to be doing really nice nowadays huh you got KO'd as Evo said probly because of your low CHIN and maybe you were too aggressive in the 1st round if your opponent was a Flasher and he allouted in the 1st round then it's really a bad match-up for a Clincher heh
